전주에 RK3288 미니PC 셋탑형 관련으로 소개를 해 드리면서, 관련 Spec을 올려 드렸습니다.
금일 추가로 홍콩 전자전을 통하여 RK3288의 소식이 올라 왔습니다.
하기 내용은 크롬OS가 RK3288에서 구현되어진다는 소식입니다.
(Allwinner A80에서도 개발 진행 중이라고 합니다.)
그리고 놀라운 것은 4K@60FPS와 10bit 디코딩이 지원 된다는 소식입니다..
앞서 블루님을 통하여 10bit관련 에니메이션 내용이 몇번 소개된 적이 있습니다만,
RK3288에서 지원을 한다는 것에 대해서 상당히 놀랍네요.. ^^

동영상에서 RK3288 레퍼런스 태블릿PC가 소개되어지는데, PIPO사 제품이네요..
8초이내 초기 부팅이 가능하다고 합니다...
물론 항시 중국제품은 비교를 해 봐야 합니다만, 제가 4K@60FPS와 10bit디코딩 Test환경을
현재는 준비를 할 수 가 없어서 아쉽네요... ㅠ.ㅠ

Rockchip’s RK3288 processor is starting to show up in Android-powered tablets and TV boxes. Now Rockchip is also showing off a prototype of Chromium OS running on a system with its new ARM Cortex-A17 quad-core processor.
Chromium OS is the open source version of Google’s Chrome operating system. Rockchip says the ARM Cortex-A17 processor offers strong enough performance to open up to 30 Google Chrome browser tabs at once.
The RK3288 chip features ARM Mali-T764 graphics with support for 4K video and H.265 video decoding, and when ARMDevices caught up with Rockchip at the HKTDC show in Hong Kong this week, the company was showing devices powering 4K displays.
Rockchip is also showing a handful of Android tablets with the new RK3288 chip, featuring cold boot speeds as short as 8 seconds.
Rockchip shows RK3288 Quad-core ARM Cortex-A17 in Tablets, booting Chrome OS (named Chromium OS when not Google certified), playing back H265 4K 60fp HDMI 2.0 10bit, extremely fast Mali-T764 GPU, mass production starts next month.
